I'm so happy to find this website, I'd love to catch up after all these years!!! I'm married (15 years ) with one daughter (and lots of neighborhood kids who like playing at "the crazy fun mom's house", 2 dogs, 3 chickens, a tortoise, silkworms, and finally, a couple of caterpillars changing into butterflies. My hubby works in Moorpark, we live in Thousand Oaks and Vegas and I teach out of the house so that I can have my daughter with me. Wish I had made the 20th, but oh well, I've lived on-the-road for so long, I don't even know where we were at that time--Canada, Europe, South Africa, some mountain somewhere...I'll be sure to make the 30th, though! Thanks for organizing this guestbook--I really appreciate it!

Cool Site! Go Normans!!!

Alan Finkelstein

You all did such a good job with your site here. I got a huge kick out of the photos page that had old class photos from Horace Mann. My reunion was last year 1983 at the Sofitel. It was a lot fun. You all take care.-al

Caitlin (Benson) Hartford

A bit after the fact for the reunion, but I thought I'd say hello to everyone anyway. Besides wondering about Antonio Quinn (previous posted question), I also am curious about Mina Nosrati, Cathy Harding, Anita Maya and Alan the crazy Russian. I live in the lush Pacific Northwest with my amazing husband Tim (of only 1 1/2 years), our 3 cats and my horse. I'm a stepmother to Samantha and Mike and work as a professional horsewoman, dividing my time and money between horses and travel. Before getting married, I spent most of 2002 backpacking around the world. Phew, I'm tired. If anyone wants to say hey to this former skinny heavy metal chick (the skinny part is still nearly true, tastes in music have grown...) - the address is above!

Caitlin Benson Hartford

I'm looking for my good friend Antonio Quinn... Last in San Franciso. Anyone know more?

Na'ama Barak

Hey, I'm sure you think I dropped off the face of the earth after graduating HM in '80. I moved to the Valley (oh, my God!) after my mom remarried, so I never attended Beverly. Still, I recall all HM alumni with great fondness. My wife, Laura and I live in the OC and we have four children, including 10 month old twins. I was ordained as a rabbi in 1995 and currently serve the congregation in Fullerton. I wasn't invited to the reunion, but hope you all had a great time. I hope to work on a HM 25 year reunion for next year!!!! Please be in touch!!!

Marilyn Schwimmer Ezrin

I don't know if anyone will read this, but I wanted to extend a big thank you to the reunion committee for a job well done. I enjoyed reconnecting with old friends, especially all the BV people. I am looking forward to the 30th and hope to see everyone there.

Roni Reed (Sokol)

I'm sorry to miss the reunion this year. I almost came with Stacy Berman and Jenene Sheppard, but couldn't make it at the last minute. My family and I moved from L.A. to Ohio earlier this year, and we're still getting adjusted. It's a big change from L.A., but a great place to raise a family. I'm a lawyer and a mother of two. I have a 2 1/2 year old son and a nine month old girl. They give me tons of happiness. My husband, Brian, is a nice Jewish boy from the midwest. We've been married for four years. I couldn't ask for more. The website made me nostalgic for the old days. I'd love to hear from anyone who remembers me from then. Enjoy the reunion!

Henry Spitz

High School was a lot of fun. I enjoyed it and will not forget all the good times. I live outside of Boston for about 11 years now and have 2 kids Justin and Darrien. Wish I could be at the re-union, but it just didn't work out that way. Hope everybody has a great time......Henry

Laura Bloch

Greetings from San Francisco. Better late than never to add my hello! Looking forward to seeing you all very soon. Thank you to the reunion organizers for all your work.

Betsy Hoyt

WOW! I can't wait for this coming weekend! Who knew? Time really does fly! Yikes! We're all so old! I still have my hair, thank GOD! Thank you, Tony Kontzer, for all the great pix!! TOO funny! I'm separated, but have two great girls, 8 & 6. We live in Pasadena and are in BH ALL the time! Can't wait to see you all! LOVE, Bets!

Daniel Hurewitz

Hi All --- I'm so looking forward to this weekend. It's been fun just looking at the old & new pictures on the website. And I'm eager to reconnect with all the many people I've lost touch with & hear how everyone's lives have unfolded... --- As for me, my partner & I live between New York & New Orleans. I teach American history down at Tulane, but during summer breaks & what not, we're in New York. So far, it's just us & our cat & dog, but we're working on the kid thing (it's a little tricky for 2 gay men) & hopefully a year or so from now, we'll be parents... --- Actually, a few of us have been chatting about getting together with other folks who are 'out' from our class (or want to be) at some point over the weekend - maybe after the picnic - and if that interests you, send me an email or look for me at the reunion... --- See you all soon!

Wendy Rosenthal

First, let me say what a great website! It has been so much fun reading what everyone is up to and seeing some great pictures. For me, since graduating Beverly and USC, I have been in the real estate business. I worked on a great project in S.F. called Metreon and now own a small consulting firm and am living in London. I have a fiancee and no kids, but love life here and feel very fortunate. If anyone is traveling to London, I would love to here from you. I am sorry that I won't be able to make the reunion. I hope everyone has a great time!

Lisa Gordis

I've been living in New York for nearly ten years now, raising two sweet daughters (7 and 2) with my husband of nearly fifteen years. We're both academics--I teach early American literature at Barnard College, and he teaches law at Fordham. I'm sad to be missing the reunion again; I had hoped that this time I'd be able to make the trip west. But I'd love to hear from friends with whom I've lost touch. And I'm grateful for the friendships that have survived time and distance.

LISA PRESTON

YOU HAVE DONE A WONDERFUL JOB, ELISA KOTIN... EVERYTHING LOOKS GREAT!!!!!!!!

Andrew Stone

It has been nice catching up with so many of you. I posted a current pic at http://us.f2.yahoofs.com/users/4151fdccz76866e05/andrewnolanstone/ __sr_/fe7d.jpg?pfFSgUBBLYGdbNKP I know its a long cut and paste, but I know most of you can do it!!!! I wont be attending the reunion due to committments, but I will be down to visit my family around the end of Nov/Beginning of Dec, for those that may want to catch up.

Ryan Cassidy

Wow!! Hard to believe. cant wait!! RC

Maria Mangus-Cohen

I cant wait to see every one, especially Richard Jastrow. Hey Richard,I just got married to a wonderfull Israeli guy. He is also a Beverly alumni. I am not great with computers,I'm on my husbands, what can I say I'm a hair colorist , not very interested in computers, now I'm paying for it ugh. Any way see you at the reunion.

Josh Berger

I have just perused the website and am feeling, more than anything else, old (classmates with 18-year old children?). Quite funny to see the photos from the 80's. I've managed to lose most of them and have forgotten how much it was another time and place (and fashion sense). I do hope the reunion is good fun--I unfortunately cannot attend due to a business commitment in Europe, where I've been living for the past 15+ years. So I wish you all the best and sincerely hope this committee reconstitutes itself for our 25th reunion. Thanks again for contacting all of us and organizing the event. Good luck with it. PS Special thanks to Tony Kontzer, without whom it looks like Horace Mann wouldn't have posted any photos on the website...And I remember that birthday party--Stairway to Heaven played for what seemed like the entire night. Never was a broom closet so romantic...

Eric Elkin

Just so the P.C. police don't lock me away (and it could happen -- I live in Berkeley): Most of what I wrote before is not true. However, I am very fortunate that Lisa Coleman and Laura Bloch live nearby and I can be Uncle Eric to their kids. (Also, for Diane's little one when I visit SoCal.) Otherwise, I work at UC San Francisco on prostate cancer research -- in my job, I am a statistician, data analyst, data manager. Looking foward to seeing you all in a few weeks. PS-- Kathy B, Julie H, Devra L we have not heard from you -- please contact!

peter miller

wow!!!what a trip!!! I can't believe how old I am.... I have been living the good life at the beach in san diego. I train racehorses for a living and surf for fun. see y'all 10/02/04 pete miller

Marilyn (Schwimmer) Ezrin

Wow, three weeks and counting! I currently live in the San Francisco Bay area, have been married for 12 years and have a 9 yr old, 6 yr old and a 10 month old. I am a full time mom; but, in my working days, I was a social worker/ child therapist. I missed the 10 year reunion because my husband's reunion was the same night so I am looking forward to the 20th and catching up with everyone.
